What is your favorite hobby?
2nd question of the Be You Collection
Kaylei McGarrett: I love participating in fundraising events and/or working with children! I’ve always loved the free spirit that can be found in children, and after my brother’s diagnosis, I was determined to find a way I could help other kids find their light again. I found an organization at my university that worked at local children’s hospitals providing an hour of relief from the hospital routine.
Chloey Rudy: Best Buddies, which supports people with disabilities and integrates them into regular school life. Softball is another passion of mine, and I have been playing since I was four. My younger sister also took up the sport, and we love to practice together, even if she is four years younger than me and in a completely level.
Matthew Moon: I like to write books. I like to share them with Jacob. He likes the characters.
Ella Moon: My favorite hobbies are basketball, reading, and drawing. I like basketball because it helps me get my mind off things and when I’m playing it’s just me, the court, my teammates who are endlessly supportive, and the opponent we take down.
Jan Ballbé: I love running.
Grey Chapin: One of my favorite hobbies is playing lacrosse. I’ve been playing for four years and lacrosse often helped distract me from my sister’s decline in health. I vividly remember going to a lacrosse game on April 1st, 2017, three days before my sister passed away. Blair was in hospice at the time and the game was a way to get out of the house. My team was very supportive at that time and continue to support me two years later. Last year, on the one year anniversary of Blair’s passing, we wore purple ribbons on our cleats in memory of her.
Nic Bouzakis: My favorite hobby is wrestling.
